Design Tips That Will Increase Your Landing Page Conversions

Landing pages serve as a bridge or a gateway between/to the marketing message that brought visitors to your website and the site functionality that enables them to take action, such as making a purchase or submitting a lead. However, if their entry leaves them cold because they didn't find anything relevant to, their time and your marketing efforts are just wasted. If it seems like a similar problem, take advantage of the following tips on creating the perfect landing page and take your landing page designs to the next level

1. Easy to navigate - Don't clutter or stuff your landing pages with too much information, or too many images and links. Avoid conversion drop-offs by making it easy to see why your visitor is on your page and what they need to do.

2. Bullet points - Your online visitors are skimmers and scanners. They literally scan a landing page before reading. To make the most of their first visit, make it easy to understand your benefits and more people will want what you’ve offering.

3. Whitespace - Use clean designs and direct your prospect’s attention to your offer, benefits and Call-to-Action. Leave empty space on your page to increase conversions.

4. Images - Pictures tell a thousand words. This is particularly true online. Images are the most shared and liked content on social sites. They’re very effective on your lead-generating landing pages too. The more a potential customer likes your page, the more likely they’ll convert. But make sure there aren't too many image that make your landing page look cluttered or stuffed.

5. Complementary (and contrasting) colors - Color design is extremely important in optimizing your landing page. Use complementary color schemes to make your page appealing to the eye. Make your Call-to-Action in a contrasting color to stand out.

6. Keep 'Call-to-action' Button Above the Fold - The space a visitor sees without having to scroll is where the most important parts of the landing page should be. Place the call-to-action button above the fold and in a location where it is easily viewable. Never have the button or form in a place where it has to be searched for.
